Considering that "our brains store and manipulate information in patterns of electrical activation" ... and "those patterns are the physical embodiment of mind" (please see the News feed published today) and that trees make billions of chemical connections and reactions in their modular bodies, thus transmitting information, could it be that trees have a different form of counsciousness? They cannot run or talk, or write books, but we know that they feel the world, although differently than humans. If so, as some are now arguing, do they have rights?
